Press Release : Chandrayaan-3 successfully soft-landed on Moon

            Chandrayaan-3, launched on 14 July 2023, soft-landed near Lunar South Pole on 23 August 2023, making India the first country to successfully land a spacecraft near the Lunar South Pole and the fourth country to soft-land on the Moon.  With this India’s pursuit of space exploration reached a remarkable milestone.  This not only marked a significant step forward for Indian Science, Engineering, Technology and Industry, symbolizing India’s progress in space exploration, but also harbingers success for the entire humanity.

            As on date, Pragyan (rover) has been successfully deployed from inside Vikram (lander). Over next few days, Pragyan is expected to transmit data to the control station, enabling ISRO to observe and conduct experiments on the materials available on the lunar surface, enriching our understanding of the Moon.
